July’s Market Promises Delicious Flavours and Abundant Entertainment
Add some heat this winter with Eastern Flavours 2019! Hosted at Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market on Sunday the 7th of July, this event is a melting pot of local flavours, activities, and sounds. It’s a day celebrating the tantalising taste of a wide variety of spicy and delicious food, and the cultures that bring them to the shores of our province – it’s an experience of KZN curry.
What: Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market presents Eastern Flavours 2019
When: Sunday 7 July
Where: Blythedale Coastal Estate
Beautiful and brilliant dancers from Rampage Dance Company will be immersing the audience in their well-choreographed routines. Inspired by India, these Durban-based dancers specialise in show-line, bridal, and Sangeet choreography.
As Blythedale Coastal Estate gathers momentum, a significant number of Blythedale suppliers are exhibiting their businesses that are vital for home design and construction. This exhibition is taking place at Eastern Flavours 2019. If you are a property owner at the Estate, or looking to become one, then this exhibition is definitely something to look into.
New vendors are in town for the market, providing a wide variety of curry-based food, eastern spices, Indian treats, tea, and extra food and dessert vendors, swelling the number of vendors at the market on the 7th of July. One vendor is doing artful henna tattoos, to add to the experience. There are still non-spicy meals for kids to enjoy, as well as the return of the epic Mega Kids Zone, featuring water slides, jumping castles, and more.
The Beach Bar is set beneath a Bedouin-style marquee on the majestic, golden sand beach. To get there, guests take a pathway through a pretty stretch of Blythedale’s coastal forest, via the Forest Bar, where our resident acoustic guitarist can be found, showing off his mellow sound. The forest opens onto the Beach Bar, which has been a hot favourite for adventurers craving a chilled drink; complete with a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Take note that the Beach Bar is the only spot in the venue with a Happy Hour – from 15h00-16h00 it’s buy-one-get-one-free on all beers and ciders.
