Dynamic Duo of Horse Racing and Music at Amstel Boomtown

 In Events

There was a lot happening at this year’s Vodacom Durban July. Races were run, prizes were won, and fashion was flaunted. The theme this year was “It Is Time”, and racegoers did not arrive late. Celebrities and ordinary South Africans arrived from all over the country to take part in arguably the most prestigious event in the racing calendar. Tent Town was once again the place to be, and perhaps the most exciting marquee was Amstel Boomtown. IOL even went as far as to award Amstel Boomtown its “#Most Lit” award in their feature on Tent Town. “Amstel Boomtown had energy. The stage, the music, the set-up was epic” (https://bit.ly/2J1XDr2).

There was a tasty buffet and guests at the VIP and VVIP areas had a fine selection of premium alcohol to choose from, with Amstel leading the charge in this department. A visible feature at Amstel Boomtown was the Blythedale Coastal Estate sales presentation, with professional agents and striking visuals on show. This feature was made possible due to Blythedale Coastal Estate being the Official Property Partner of the 2018 edition of Amstel Boomtown.

There were two marquees for guests to enjoy, and all the sponsors brought different things to the party. Blythedale gave entrants the chance to become a finalist to win a R1 million piece of land at the North Coast development. Congratulations to Lunga Made, who became the second finalist in this exciting competition. She was well received on stage by the audience and received her certificate from BCE Development Director Andrew Thompson and Amstel Boomtown MC Smash Afrika from Channel O.

Another recent Blythedale event was the gruelling Toyota Warrior5 powered by Reebok, hosted at the beautiful Blythedale Coastal Estate. Congratulations to channel winner Rob Rowles, who becomes another finalist for the competition.

Lunga and Rob will be joined by the other 14 finalists on Saturday 28th July at the eLan Gold Cup, where each finalist will become a virtual horse owner for the main race. Whoever’s horse wins the race, wins the R1 million plot of land. This promises to be an exciting day of racing at Greyville Racecourse, in what is one of the most prestigious events of the racing calendar. eLan Property Group is hosting a number of guests from 11:00-22:00 at the Champions Room. Costing R2000 per person; the theme is black, white and gold. For bookings and enquiries, please contact Amanda at 031 576 9600 or amanda@elan.co.za. We look forward to you joining us in what promises to be a fantastic day at the races.
