A Blythedale Coastal Resort is situated on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal on the East Coast of Southern Africa, roughly 15 minutes from the Town of Ballito.
 
Q Can I live here permanently or is this development just for holiday purposes?
A The choice is yours! The Resort is designed as a residential development and hence your purchase can be used as a permanent residence or a holiday home.
 
Q Which Municipal body governs this area?
A The KwaDukuza Municipality.
 
Q How far is Blythedale Coastal Resort from the new King Shaka airport?
A Roughly 20 minutes.
 
Q What attractions are based in close proximity to the Resort?
A Hluhluwe & Umfolozi Game Park, home to the Big 5, the St Lucia Wetlands Park, Kosi Bay and Cape Vidal are all within a 60 minute drive North of the Resort. 
 
Q Can you fish in the dams/sea etc?
A Yes.
 
Q Are there Shark nets?
A Yes, shark nets are present along the main Blythedale beach. A further application is taking place for nets to be based off the resorts coastline.
 
Q Where are the nearest shops, vet, hospital, business node in the area?
A The development plan includes the construction of a commercial and retail complex, however until this is completed, one can drive South to Ballito or North to Stanger.
 
Q What additional payments can I expect after purchasing on Blythedale Coastal Resort?
A Levy Stabilization R4 000; Bond Costs & Transfer Fees (Not Duty) as well as a compulsory Club Membership fee of R10 000
 
Q Who is responsible for electricity, water and rate payments?
A Individual property owners will be responsible for the payment of their private rates, water & electricity costs. Common property water/electricity will be included in the monthly levy.
 
Q How much is the original levy, who is liable for it and when is the first payment due?
A The anticipated levy is R895pm liable by homeowner and due after transfer.
 
Q Who would be able to provide financing for my investment?
A All the major banking institutions will be willing to fund a purchase on Blythedale Coastal Resort.
 
Q When is the estimated completion date of the Resort?
A 2015.
 
Q What is the time period in which one needs to complete building?
A There is no build by date.
 
Q Who approves plans?
A The Resort design review committee consisting of architects and other consultants, 2 or 3 appointed architects, a geo-tech consultant, storm-water consultant and landscaping consultant, will approve you building plans in consideration of the Resorts architectural theming.
 
Q Which builders can be used?
A The Resort will have a list of accredited building contractors, however should you wish to use the services of a different building contractor, an approval process will be implemented in order to ensure that the builder complies with environmental, architectural and other controls.
 
Q Are there specific landscaping guidelines?
A Due to the nature of the development, landscaping guidelines will be implemented, in keeping with the aesthetics of the Resort.
 
Q Are pets allowed?
A Yes, a maximum of 2 pets (less than 20kg when fully grown) are allowed in the freestanding units or homes. One dog and one cat or just one cat.
 
Q As a purchaser, will I have access to all facilities within the Resort? (Golf, Ocean, Forest and Equestrian)
A Regardless of the placement of your purchase, you will have full access to the Resorts facilities on all phases of the development.
 
Q How can I become a member of Blythedale Golf Country Club?
A When purchasing on Blythedale Coastal Resort, membership of the Golf Country Club is compulsory.
 
Q What security measures will be implemented on the Resort?
A The resort will be manned by 24 hours security systems, monitoring the entrance and exit of all residents and guests, by security personnel and CCTV camera equipment.
 
Q Will my domestic worker be able to reside on the Resort?
A Yes, only one.
